Appearance Anxiety and Social Media Influence Research

Identified the problem about social media platform usage and adolescents' appearance anxiety, I Designed online surveys based on existing research, such as Appearance Anxiety Scale (AAS) and Objectified
Body Consciousness Scale (OBCS-BS), to investigate the level of adolescents’ appearance anxiety in my community.

In the process, I strictly followed the ethical guidelines. I keep questions like specific age and gender optional, and debrief about the data usage.

I constructed a t-test and a confidence interval to analyze psychological data patterns among participants based on 155 valid responses, and found that although there are no significant difference between genders, people who do not answer questions about their personal information tend to have significantly higher anxiety level.
